I’ve been a runner for years, but after everything cancer put my body through, running wasn’t enough—I needed to rebuild. At the start of this year, I took on a new challenge: strength training. It’s been a completely different kind of hard, but also empowering in ways I never expected.
Cancer took so much—my energy, my muscle, my confidence in what my body could do. Strength training is my way of taking it back. Running built my endurance, but lifting is helping me feel strong again, inside and out.
