Finding Comfort in God Through Isaiah 53:5
Leaning on His Strength Through the Challenges of Cancer
Cancer has brought a lot of uncertainty into my life-physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. But in the difficult moments, I’ve found comfort in God and in this verse:
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” Isaiah 53:5
I don’t take this to mean that healing will always come the way I want it to. But it reminds me that God is with me in my pain. Jesus knew suffering, and because of that, I know I’m not alone. On the hardest days, when I don’t recognize myself in the mirror or feel overwhelmed by the weight of it all, I lean on Him.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t always about a cure- it’s also about peace, strength, and knowing that God is carrying me through. And that, in itself, brings me comfort.

AMEN --- …You have held me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
— Psalm 73:23-:pray:2 4 🙏
I suffered early in life from a self inflicted disease. I believe firmly that God brought me through it. I don’t know why but I think it may have been to show others the way to recovery.
God Bless You and may He bring you to full recovery!
